The LC&N Hauto Coal Storage Plant and yard was erected at the turn of the century to even out irregularities in the supply of Old Company's Lehigh coal due to demand, weather, and miner's strikes. The facility could store up to 360,000 tons of coal. - postcard view, circa 1900
